CLOVERLEA ESTATE RAIN GARDEN

Public BBQ

A newish playground in the Cloverlea estate, known locally as Botanica Reserve, built on a slope and aimed at older children. The enormous slide is the centrepiece and fast enough to catch out a four year old; it has also developed a hole and some abrupt curves that send children into the edges. Alongside are a big climbing net, a spinner, three swings including one toddler seat, and rocks and stumps to hop between that reward some imagination. There is a basketball ring, bench seats, and a small barbecue with a table under cover, though the barbecue is not often cleaned. The playground itself has very little shade, and there are no toilets at all. Parking is on the street and limited, as the park mostly serves the estate.
